Getting to know your neighbors

Literally…at Sweetbriar Nature Center

www.sweetbriarnc.org

Sweetbriar Nature Center is more than a wildlife rehab facility, a nature educational hub, a beautiful 54-acre park equipped with hiking trails and gardens, a butterfly house in summer and a barn with farm animals. It is also a community center which brings neighbors, families and friends together several times per year to enjoy some very exciting educational community events.

Throughout the year, Sweetbriar offers a variety of programs for toddlers, school aged children and adults. Why not consider Discovery Days which are scheduled on the weeks your kids are off from school! Love owls? Sign up for an evening Owl Prowl. Consult the website for all events offered.

Sweetbriar’s events are designed to educate, focusing on local wildlife and ecosystems. All events are fundraisers that provide essential financial assistance which enable the nature center to fulfill its mission to provide natural science education services for Long Island residents of all ages, engaging in native wildlife rehabilitation services.

Please note that registration is required for all Sweetbriar events.
