Plein air painting means painting outside the studio. Using the beauty of Sweetbriar’s grounds gain a solid foundation of landscape art or go deeper on your current practice. This class is for all levels. Whether you are a beginner looking for a comfortable place to explore a new art practice or an experienced artist looking for a place to let go of expectations. This is a class where you can come and relax, work on your skills, try something new, and get to know Sweetbriar better. Enjoy an art practice where you need to be in the moment.

Our resident Artist Andie is here to lead you in the class. Whether you want to learn a new technique, just getting started, Need help shaking off a creative block, or just need a friend to paint with for a little while. Andie is proficient in all kinds art techniques, mediums, and has a vast knowledge of art history, and years of professional experience to answer any kinds of questions you have. With an upbeat and warm attitude Andie creates a welcoming space.
