From above the Edith Blydenburgh Garden appears in the shape of a stained glass window, from the ground its pathways take you through 4 foot tall peonies, the sweet smells of mint, and a grape arbor dating back many decades. This garden has been tended by many volunteers throughout the years and the upkeep of the shrubs, trees, herbs and perennials are needed to preserve the beauty that Edith once saw looking out her bedroom window.
The volunteers for the garden group meet every Tuesday morning at the nature center. Whether you’re a beginner gardener looking to spend some time outside, a local history buff or a retired botany enthusiast we would love to have you join in our volunteer group.
Please email or call Eric Young at firstname.lastname@example.org or 631-979-6344 to sign up to volunteer.
