The Rainbow Almond Tree Now Available on Amazon

Our own Program Director, Eric Young’s book is now up and available to buy on Amazon

The Rainbow Almond tree it the tale of ancient tree in the Costa Rican Rain Forest. In that tree dwells one of Costa Rica's most beautiful birds, the Green Macaw. When the forest and this amazing tree are put in peril by loggers, the Green Macaw tries to gather its friends and save the tree. The tree represents the endangered rain forests all over the world and the parrot represents the people trying to save them. The tale was spurred on by the author's visit to Costa Rica and his passion for nature and wildlife. The lesson the book teaches is that even one person can make a difference. May more people go out and enjoy the wonders of the natural world.

Thank you to all who sponsored and joined us for our fair!

It was a beautiful day at Sweetbriar for our Butterfly and Wildlife Festival held on June 8th 2019. The morning started with children’s yoga, animal presentations, a book reading and continued throughout the day with more animal presentations, beautiful music, raptor walks and yoga at the barn.

We wouldn’t be able to take care of the injured wildlife we receive and do educational programs throughout the year without the support of our volunteers, Board of Directors, sponsors and the families that support us by attending these events.

Thank you!
