Birthday Parties
For the Nature Lover in the Family

Spend 45 minutes with live reptiles, mammals, birds and more. Give your child a fun filled learning experience.

Program: Sweetbriar will present an exciting educational program led by one of our educators, 45 minutes long. The program is always participatory and children get a chance to interact directly with some of the animals they meet. Recommended ages for programs is 3 and up.

Cost: $120 minimum for up to 20 children. For up to 25 children add $8 per child. Membership required.

ABSOLUTELY NO BALLOONS PLEASE!!

Available Programs to choose from:

Animal Interviews
(Recommended for children ages 3 and up)
Children will meet and interact with animals from each group of land animals with backbones, including an irresistible mammal, a friendly turtle, and a slithering snake.

Mammals
(Recommended for children ages 5 and up)
Children will meet and interact with a few of our furry resident animals, including a ferret, chinchilla and a hedgehog. Some skulls and skeletons will also be shared.

Threatened Wildlife
(Recommended for children ages 9 and up)
Children will learn more about the reasons why animals are threatened, meet some threatened animals andtour a table full of things make from endangered wildlife.

Butterflies & Moths
(Recommended for children ages 5 and up)
Children will become part of the magical life cycle of butterflies and visit some live butterflies and moths during the months of June through September, as they learn about these wonderous animals.
(all adults must pay normal entrance fees to enter the vivarium.)

Reptiles
(Recommended for children ages 5 and up)
Children will meet and interact with members from most of the groups of reptiles, including three kinds of turtles, lizards and a snake.

Feathered Friends
(Recommended for children ages 5 and up)
Children will meet some of our fathered friends, dress up in bird costumes and learn what makes a bird a bird.

Rainforest Ramble
(Recommended for children ages 3 and up)
Children will meet some of the amazing animals of the rain forest and tour our mock rain forest to learn more about these wondrous places (late fall, winter and early spring preferable)

Since we are an environmental center and try to model environmentally friendly practices, we ask that you use as few disposables as possible.

ABSOLUTELY NO BALLOONS PLEASE!!

Sweetbriar reserves the right to end the program if the health and safety of any participant or animal is at risk, or if the party is disrupting the enjoyment of the center for visitors.
