Photography Club Meetings
The Sweetbriar Nature Photography club meets on the 1st, 2nd and
3rd Mondays of each month at 7:30 p.m. Visitors are always welcome. Activities include guest speakers, entertaining slide shows, instructional
programs, photo competitions, field trips and more. Our club is
a member of the Photographic Federation of Long Island.

Wildlife Baby Shower
Celebrate wildlife babies and support Sweetbriar as it gears up for the Spring and Summer season, when we care for many orphaned and injured animals. Meet animals and see how a baby squirrel and baby bird are cared for. Take a nature walk to find signs of animal homes where baby animals are being raised and make craft.When: Sunday, May 19, 1-3:30pm

Turtle Walk
Join us in our annual box turtle scavenger hunt and count. The turtles will be examined and tagged and to be released after our annual wildlife/craft fair. Meet one of our resident Eastern Box Turtles along with some of our other turtles and create a turtle craft to take home. Wear long pants and closed toed shoes.When: Saturday and Sunday, June 1 and 2, 9am to Noon

Wildlife and Craft Fair
Come to Sweetbriar for a day of fun and education. Along with the usual exciting entertainment, crafts, games, face painting, animal shows, craft vendors there will be a falconry demonstration with live birds of prey and a live wolf. Food and refreshments available.Date: Saturday, June 8, 10am to 5pm

Rainbows in Nature: A Celebration of Spring
Come visit Sweetbriar Nature Center in Smithtown for an afternoon of treasure hunts, an animal presentation, relay races, face painting, and of course tours of our wondrous enclosed Butterfly Garden. Highlighting the event will be local author, Michelle Zimmerman, as she leads children on magical adventures through story and a full spectrum of rainbow fun including a butterfly hunt and a rainbow butterfly craft to take home.

FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT SWEETBRIAR’S WILDLIFE
Come join us at Butterfields and support the good work we do at Sweetbriar. There will be food, live entertainment and ½ price drinks. All proceeds go to the rehabilitation of wildlife
